About INTU

The blind that fits inside your window

INTU blinds use a clip-in system that slots into the glazing bead around your window frame — the rubber or plastic strip that holds the glass in place. No holes in the frame, no wall fixings, no visible brackets.

The result is a blind that sits flush inside the window recess, with reduced light gaps and a clean finish that's hard to achieve with a standard top-hung fitting. It also means you can open and close the window or door with the blind still in place.

That last point matters more than it sounds. Most blinds force you to raise them every time you want to open a window. With INTU, you don't have to.

The Range

Four blind types, one system

All use the same clip-in fitting. Which fabric type you choose depends on the room and what you need from the blind.

Pleated Blinds

Clean, flat pleat with a good range of fabric options. Light filtering or blackout. Works well in bedrooms, living rooms and studies — anywhere you want a tidy, unfussy look.

Most Popular

Hive® Cellular

Honeycomb cell structure that traps air in an insulating layer. Blocks heat from the sun and helps retain warmth in winter. Available in plain, blackout and fire retardant options.

Best for Insulation

Venetian Blinds

Aluminium slats with adjustable angle for precise light control. The clip-in system solves the usual problem with Venetian blinds on tilt-and-turn windows — they stay put when the window opens.

Precise Light Control

Roller Blinds

Straightforward roller mechanism clipped directly into the frame. Clean profile, wide fabric choice. A solid option for rooms where you want simplicity over texture.

The Fitting

Opens like a window.
Looks like a fitted blind.

The INTU system works because the glazing bead — the strip that holds the glass in your window frame — runs around the full perimeter of the pane. INTU's headrail clips into that bead at the top, and a bottom fixing holds the base bar in place.

The whole thing takes minutes to fit and can be removed just as quickly. No marks left on the frame, no residue, nothing that voids a rental agreement or requires a decorator afterwards.

On bi-fold doors, the guided endcap option adds a track that stops the bottom bar moving when the door panels shift — a useful detail that most blind systems don't account for.

1

Clip into the bead

The headrail clips into the glazing bead at the top of the window. No screws, no brackets needed.

2

Fix the base bar

A small bottom fixing keeps the blind aligned and prevents movement. Tool-free on most window types.

3

Open the window normally

Tilt, turn, slide or fold — the blind stays in place and the window operates exactly as it did before.

4

Remove whenever you need to

Unclips just as easily as it went in. No tools, no damage, no evidence it was ever there.

Sub-system

INTU
Micro

The compact version, built for bi-fold doors and tight window spaces where the standard system won't fit.

For Compact Spaces

Intu Micro uses a smaller fabric pleat size and a slimmer headrail profile — designed for bi-fold door panels and windows where the recess depth or bead size rules out the standard system.

It carries the same Hive and Pleated fabric options as the main range. The guided endcap is available on Micro, which matters on bi-folds where panel movement would otherwise push the base bar out of position.

Same clip-in principle, smaller package. If you've got a bi-fold door wall and want a blind that actually works with it rather than fighting it, Micro is the answer.

Frame Finishes

Match your window frame

Rail colour and endcaps are available in white, brown and anthracite to match PVC, aluminium and wooden frames. The colour-matched components are what give the fitted look — everything disappears into the frame rather than sitting in front of it.

Matches white uPVC frames

Brown

Matches brown/rosewood frames

Anthracite

Matches grey aluminium frames

Hive® Cellular

The blind that works harder on insulation

Hive is INTU's cellular pleated fabric — a honeycomb structure that traps air between the pane and the room. That air layer acts as insulation, reducing how much heat transfers through the window in either direction.

It blocks solar heat in summer and retains room warmth in winter. The cellular structure also has anti-static properties and some sound-dampening effect — not a dramatic difference, but noticeable in rooms with a lot of hard surfaces.

Available in plain, blackout and fire retardant variants. Also available in the Micro size for bi-fold doors.

Heat Blocking

Cellular structure reduces solar heat transfer through the glass

Anti-Static

Fabric doesn't attract dust the way standard pleated fabrics can

Sound Absorbent

The cellular layer provides some reduction in echo and room noise
